Ampline — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17 October 2026

Ampline ("the app") is made by Samet Ateşen (Atesen Software), Türkiye ("we"). This policy describes what the app's code does. If the app changes, this policy changes with it.

What we collect: nothing

Ampline has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. We do not run a server for this app, so nothing you do in the app reaches us.

What the app does on your network

Ampline talks to your AV receiver's own local control on your home network. It uses TCP port 60128 (eISCP) for Onkyo, Pioneer and Integra, and the receiver's web control (HTTP on port 80) for Yamaha. It reads the receiver's name, model, power, volume, mute, input and sound mode, for each zone, and sends only the commands you tap. These connections go only to addresses inside your home network. The app refuses public internet addresses and host names. The app talks to the receiver only while it is open on your screen. The receiver's local control is not encrypted, but it never leaves your network.

If you tap "Find my receiver", the app reads your iPhone's own address on the home network and asks the addresses of that network whether they are a receiver of these kinds.

Local Network permission

iOS asks you for Local Network permission the first time. Ampline needs it because iOS blocks apps from reaching devices on your home network without it, and your receiver is such a device. Without it the app cannot find or control the receiver. You can change it any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network.

Where your data lives

The app stores only these, on your iPhone, inside the app:

The receiver's state is shown live and not kept. This data is part of your device's own iCloud or computer backup if you use one; that backup is handled by Apple, not by us.

Purchases

In-app purchases are processed by Apple (StoreKit). We do not receive your name, e-mail address or payment details, and no personal data reaches us. Apple's privacy policy applies: apple.com/legal/privacy.

Deleting your data

Remove a receiver in Settings: its saved name and address are deleted from your iPhone; the receiver itself is not changed. Deleting the app removes everything the app stored. Because we hold no copy, there is nothing to delete on our side.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13.
