Meshline — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17 October 2026

Meshline ("the app") is made by Samet Ateşen (Atesen Software), Türkiye ("we"). This policy describes what the app's code does. If the app changes, this policy changes with it.

What we collect: nothing

Meshline has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. We do not run a server for this app, so nothing you do in the app reaches us.

What the app does on your network

Meshline talks to your router's own local control interface (HTTP on port 80) on your home network. It reads the router's model, the internet status, the nodes, the connected devices (their names, network addresses, hardware (MAC) addresses, the node they use, band and signal), the parental-control rules, the guest Wi-Fi setting, the lights' night mode and speed test results. It sends only the changes you tap. These connections go only to addresses inside your home network; the app refuses public internet addresses and host names and never follows a redirect. The app talks to the router only while it is open on your screen.

A speed test is run by your router itself, against its own test servers on the internet; the app only starts it and reads the result.

If you tap "Find my router", the app reads your iPhone's own address on the home network and asks the addresses of that network whether they are a router of this kind.

The admin password

To manage your router, the app needs the router's admin password. It is stored only in your iPhone's Keychain, is never written to the app's database, logs or error messages, and is sent only to the router you saved it for. Before sending it, the app checks that the router answering at that address is the same router (by its serial number). The router's local interface is not encrypted, but the password never leaves your home network. Remove the router in Settings, or delete the app, to delete the password.

Local Network permission

iOS asks you for Local Network permission the first time. Meshline needs it because iOS blocks apps from reaching devices on your home network without it, and your router is such a device. Without it the app cannot find or manage the router. You can change it any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network.

Where your data lives

The app stores only these, on your iPhone, inside the app:

The device list and the router's other readings are shown live and not kept. The app's data is part of your device's own iCloud or computer backup if you use one; that backup is handled by Apple, not by us.

Purchases

In-app purchases are processed by Apple (StoreKit). We do not receive your name, e-mail address or payment details, and no personal data reaches us. Apple's privacy policy applies: apple.com/legal/privacy.

Deleting your data

Remove a router in Settings: its saved details and its password are deleted from your iPhone; the router itself is not changed. Deleting the app removes everything the app stored. Because we hold no copy, there is nothing to delete on our side.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13.
