How it works

Tubline talks to your spa's Wi-Fi module directly on your home network. It works without the internet and without any cloud service, so it keeps working when a cloud plan ends or costs extra. There is no account, no tracking and no advertising. Tubline works at home only: it has no remote access over the internet.

Hot tubs with a Balboa BWA Wi-Fi module that already works on your Wi-Fi with the spa maker's app. Your iPhone must be on the same Wi-Fi as the spa. No spa nearby? The app has a demo where every control works.

Free to download: the live status of one spa and the lights. Tubline Pro is a one-time purchase (no subscription) that adds the set temperature, every jet pump and the blower, heat mode and range, and more than one hot tub.

Questions owners ask

Is Tubline an alternative to the "Spa Control – BWA" app?

Yes, at home. If your hot tub works with Balboa's "Spa Control – BWA" app, it has the Balboa BWA Wi-Fi module Tubline talks to. Tubline uses the same local connection on your Wi-Fi, so it needs no Balboa account and no cloud subscription.

Do I still need the BWA cloud subscription?

Not for Tubline. You only need a cloud plan if you want to control the tub from outside your home, which Tubline does not do.

Which Wi-Fi module?

The Balboa BWA Wi-Fi module (for example the 50350 kit) that already joins your home Wi-Fi with Balboa's app. First setup of the module on your Wi-Fi is done with Balboa's app; after that Tubline finds the spa by itself. Balboa's newer ControlMySpa system is a different module and is not supported.

Is it safe to switch pumps from an app?

Tubline presses the same buttons as the panel and checks the spa's own status after every press, so a lost tap never leaves a pump on a faster speed. The set temperature stays inside your spa's own limits.

Does it work away from home?

No, only on your home Wi-Fi.
