For Bluetooth bathroom scales
Step on your scale and the weight is on your iPhone, and in Apple Health if you want: no account, no ads, no pairing.
Today: Xiaomi Mi Smart Scale and Mi Body Composition Scale 2 · iPhone · In development — not yet on the App Store
Supported scales broadcast the weight over Bluetooth while you stand on them. Weighline listens for that broadcast while its weighing screen is open. It does not connect to the scale, does not need the scale maker's app and does not use the internet. There is no account, no tracking and no advertising, and nothing is uploaded anywhere: your weighings stay on your iPhone, and in Apple Health if you choose.
Today Weighline understands the Xiaomi Mi Smart Scale (also sold as Mi Smart Scale 2) and the Xiaomi Mi Body Composition Scale 2. More scales will follow; other brands, for example scales that use the OKOK app, are not supported yet. The first weighing from a new scale asks you once whether it is yours. Weighline shows weight and BMI only; it does not calculate body fat.
Free to download: weighing, the last 30 days of history, Apple Health sync and one person. Weighline Pro is a one-time purchase (no subscription) that adds your full history with the 90-day and all-time chart, everyone in your home, and CSV export. Apple Health sync is never behind the paywall, and Pro never deletes anything: older weighings are kept on your iPhone in the free version too.
Yes, that is what Weighline is for. It reads the weight the scale broadcasts, so you need no Xiaomi account, no Zepp Life and no Mi Fit. You do not pair the scale in the iPhone's Bluetooth settings either.
If it is one of the two Xiaomi scales above, Weighline can write each weighing to Apple Health as Weight, and as Body Mass Index if you set your height. You turn this on in Weighline's settings, and it is free.
Not from us yet: Weighline does not read OKOK scales today. If you have one and want it supported, write to us at the address below, so we know which scales to add next.
No. Weighline shows the weight your scale reports and a BMI calculated from it. BMI is a rough guide; ask a doctor about your health. Weighline is not a medical device.
Yes, with Pro: each person has a name, height and unit, and Weighline suggests whose weighing it is from the closest last weight, or asks when it is not sure.
No. Weighline listens only while its weighing screen is open, so open the app, then step on.
