What it does
Erasefold is for data brokers registered in California, and for the counsel and service providers who work for them. It reads the DROP download and your record exports in your browser, standardises and hashes them with the CalPrivacy rules, and gives every request a status: deleted, opted out, exempt or not found. You get the response files, a worklist and a suppression list. Records never leave your computer.
Capabilities
The DROP download in
Drop the DROP ZIP with its NDZ (name, date of birth, ZIP), email, phone, MAID, name-and-VIN and CTV ID lists, plus your record exports as CSV or Excel.
Matched with the official rules
Standardising and SHA-256 hashing follow the CalPrivacy rules, with the 20 official test values as a live self-check.
Answers, worklist and suppression list out
Download the response files with a status for every item, the records to action, a suppression list and an audit log.
Browser or command line
The engine runs in your browser and makes no network calls; the same engine is also a command-line tool for very large files.
