What it does
Multi-Field Bulk Update is an application for Freshsales Suite. Freshsales' own bulk update changes one field per selection; this application changes up to ten fields on the records of a Freshsales view in one pass, each field with its own operation. You narrow the view with up to five conditions, for example every deal in one pipeline stage, and see a preview with the current and new value of every record before anything changes. A run starts only after you type the phrase shown, such as APPLY 6. Each record is read again just before it is changed, its previous values are saved first, and it is read back afterwards. A run can be undone from History for 90 days. Every call uses the API key of the person running the application, so Freshsales applies that person's permissions.
Capabilities
Many fields in one pass
Up to ten fields per run, each with its own operation: set or clear a value, add text at the end, find and replace, increase a number, shift a date by a number of days, add or replace tags and multi-select values, and change owner, territory, status, lifecycle stage, or pipeline and deal stage together.
Exactly the records you mean
Start from any Freshsales view of contacts, accounts or deals and narrow it with up to five conditions, for example Pipeline is New business and Deal stage is Proposal sent to reach every deal in one stage. A view may hold up to 1,000 records; one run changes 300 by default.
Preview and typed confirmation
The preview lists every record with its current and new value, the records that already have the values and the ones that will be skipped, with the reason, and an estimate of how long the run takes. It can be downloaded as CSV. Nothing changes until you type the phrase shown, such as APPLY 6, and the server checks it again.
Checked changes and undo
Before each record is changed it is read again; if someone edited it after your preview, it is left alone. The previous values are saved first, the record is read back after the change, and the results can be downloaded as CSV. A run can be stopped and resumed, and undone from History for 90 days; undo only restores fields that still hold the value the application wrote. A kill switch stops all changes.

Where does Multi-Field Bulk Update run?
The application runs inside Freshsales Suite on the Freshworks Developer Platform: its page runs in the browser of the person using it, and every call to Freshsales runs in the application's server methods on Freshworks-hosted serverless infrastructure. Atesen Software does not operate a server or a database for it and never receives your data.

What we do not claim
- It has been submitted to Freshworks Marketplace and requires changes before approval. It is not approved, listed or publicly installable. Public installation, customer and review counts are not verified.
- So far it has been tested against a simulated Freshsales account only. Checks on a live Freshsales Suite account are still to be done before submission.
- It does not raise Freshsales' API limits. Each record takes three API calls, so a run changes roughly 12 to 15 records a minute and large runs take a while.
- Undo restores field values only. Anything a Freshsales workflow did because of the change, such as an email or a task, is not undone.
- Relationship fields, email fields, custom modules and Freshsales Classic are not supported.
- It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Freshworks.
- It holds no security certification and has not undergone a third-party audit.
