What it does
Template Guard is a monday.com application for teams and agencies that build one board per client or project by duplicating a template. monday copies most of a board and silently drops the rest: connect columns keep pointing at the template’s board, views added by apps disappear, columns go missing. Template Guard saves the template’s configuration and compares any copy against it, listing every difference by severity with how to fix it. It reads configuration only and never changes a board.

Template snapshots
Mark a board as a template and Template Guard records its columns, groups, views, connect-column targets, owners and subscribers as configuration. Item names, column values, updates and files are never read or stored.
Compare any copy with its template
Open the Template Guard board view on a copy and press Compare. Every difference is listed most serious first: miswired (a connect column on the copy still points at the template’s board), missing, altered, and — only if you ask for them — cosmetic.
A fix for every finding
Each finding says what changed, why it matters and how to fix it, with a link to the board. Connect columns are always left to a person, because only a person knows which board a copy should point at.
Ask sidekick
A Sidekick tool lets monday’s AI assistant answer “what did this board lose from its template?”, and the same check is available as an automation action.
Drift alerts (Pro)
On the Pro plan, every compared copy is re-checked every six hours and the installer is emailed once when a copy drifts — not again until it changes or is fixed and drifts again.

Where does Template Guard run?
Template Guard runs on monday code, monday.com’s own hosting, and stores data only in monday code storage. Atesen Software operates no other server or database for it.
How do I get help with Template Guard?
Support for Template Guard is provided by email in English and Turkish.
Email support@atesensoftware.com. We aim to acknowledge every support email within two business days (Europe/Istanbul).
What we do not claim
- It is not listed in the monday apps marketplace yet and has no public install count, customer list or reviews.
- Automations are not compared: monday.com exposes them only on a preview API, and Template Guard says so in every result rather than implying they matched.
- It does not repair boards for you. It is read-only and requests no write permission.
- It holds no security certification and has not undergone a third-party audit.
