Update Mover is being prepared for submission to the monday apps marketplace. It has not been submitted, approved or listed, so it cannot be installed by the public today. It runs on monday code, monday.com’s own hosting.

What it does

Update Mover is a monday.com item view for teams whose updates land on the wrong item: an email reaches the wrong card, a thread starts on the parent instead of the subitem, two items get merged. Tick the updates you want and move or copy them, with their replies and files, to any existing item on a board you can open. It also hides automation and email posts behind a Human / Automated / All switch, without deleting anything.

Capabilities

Move or copy updates to an existing item

Tick one or more updates, type the destination item’s name or paste its link, and confirm. Replies and attached files travel with each update. No duplicate item is created.

The original is removed only after the copy is checked

Copy leaves the source untouched. Move deletes the source update only after the new copy has the same number of replies and files; if you may not delete it, the copy stays and the original is kept.

Author and date stay visible

Each copied update starts with “Moved from <item> · originally by <name> on <date>” (or “Copied from”) and keeps its original posting date. Mentions become plain bold names, so nobody is notified again.

Human / Automated / All

Automation notes and emails that monday posts into Updates are folded into one-line rows with a Show button. Nothing is deleted. On Pro, Rules hide posts by a person or by a phrase on that board.

History and Move back (Pro)

Every job is listed in History with what it did. A finished move can be moved back to where it came from in one click.

Ask sidekick

A Sidekick skill lets monday’s AI assistant show the human conversation on an item and copy or move updates to another item. It starts the same checked job as the item view.

Where does Update Mover run?

Update Mover runs on monday code, monday.com’s own hosting, in its EU region, and stores data only in monday code storage. Atesen Software operates no other server or database for it. It sends requests only to monday.com’s API; there are no analytics, advertising or other third-party services.

How do I get help with Update Mover?

Support for Update Mover is provided by email in English and Turkish.

Email support@atesensoftware.com. We aim to acknowledge every support email within two business days (Europe/Istanbul).

What we do not claim

It is not listed in the monday apps marketplace yet and has no public install count, customer list or reviews.
monday.com’s API does not let an app post as another person, so a moved update is authored by whoever moves it; the first line names the original author. Likes are not carried over.
Files larger than 50 MB are not copied: Copy skips them with a note, and Move refuses before changing anything.
It holds no security certification and has not undergone a third-party audit.
