StopMo mobile app privacy policy

Effective date: 26 October 2026.

Atesen Software operates StopMo. This policy covers the current free StopMo mobile app and its web-based video editor, including server processing. Contact support@atesensoftware.com about privacy.

Videos you choose to process

When you select a video to upload, StopMo sends the video, including any embedded audio, to our backend hosted on Railway. An internet connection is required. Processing is performed on the server, not entirely on your phone. Do not upload content you do not have permission to process.

We process the original clip, its technical metadata, your chosen effect settings, previews and rendered output to provide the video editing feature. Embedded audio may be preserved in the output. Uploading is your choice, but processing that clip requires its upload. Files persist temporarily in server storage; this is not memory-only processing.

The current free release has no account, advertising, analytics SDK, in-app purchases or paid AI processing. The enabled styles run without sending your video to an external AI provider. There is no public video gallery.

Hosting, security and operational data

Railway provides backend hosting and processing; Cloudflare provides the website and may provide media storage and delivery. They process service data on our behalf. Production website, API and media connections use HTTPS. Anyone with your job link may be able to access the result; object-storage downloads use expiring signed URLs when that storage is enabled. Keep your job and download links private.

Service requests expose your IP address and technical request information to the hosting infrastructure. StopMo uses IP addresses for rate limiting and abuse prevention, and server logs record operational errors and timing information for diagnostics. We do not use this information for advertising, sell it, or build advertising profiles. The app does not request contacts, location or microphone recording access.

Retention and automatic deletion

The backend's default file retention is 24 hours, with cleanup scheduled every 10 minutes. Expiry is calculated from job creation time. Cleanup removes expired job records and their result files; an uploaded original is retained while another job still references it. Reusing an upload for a newer render can therefore extend how long the original is kept.

Jobs that are still processing are skipped. Active processing, service interruptions, configuration changes or delayed cleanup can extend retention; deletion is not guaranteed at an exact 24-hour boundary. Temporary and cache files use the same default file retention. Download any result you want to keep.

Rate-limit database entries become eligible for cleanup after two hours. Infrastructure and server logs have no fixed retention period specified in the application code; their retention depends on the hosting configuration. The automatic media cleanup period is not a promise that every infrastructure log is deleted after 24 hours.

Deletion requests and your choices

To request deletion of an uploaded video or result, email support@atesensoftware.com with the job link or job ID so we can locate it. Do not send the video or unrelated personal details. There is no in-app manual-delete endpoint and no StopMo account to delete. You may also ask about or request correction or deletion of information we hold about you.

Deleting the mobile app or closing the editor does not immediately delete server files. Automatic cleanup still applies. Downloads and files you choose to share are separate copies on your device or at the destination; remove those separately. Sharing uses your chosen app or service and its privacy practices.

The editor stores preferences and your most recent job ID in local browser storage. Clear the site's data to remove those local entries; this does not delete server files.

If you email support, we receive your email address and message to handle the request. We use support correspondence to respond and resolve the issue, not for marketing.

Children and policy updates

StopMo is not directed at children. We do not knowingly seek children's personal information. Contact support if you believe a child has supplied information that should be removed.

We will update this policy and its effective date if the app's data practices change, including any future paid or AI features.
