Duebill is deployed at duebill.atesensoftware.com but is not open yet. Sign-ups open once its sign-in e-mail and checkout by Paddle are set up and a full test against a Stripe test account has passed, so no one can connect a Stripe account or buy a plan today. Its site takes waitlist sign-ups meanwhile, and its free interest calculator already works.

Step-by-step guides for this job
What it does
Duebill is a web application for UK businesses that send invoices through Stripe and get paid late by business clients. Every morning it reads your overdue and late-paid Stripe invoices with a restricted key, calculates statutory interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 (8% plus the Bank of England reference rate for the half-year, simple daily interest) and the fixed-sum compensation of £40, £70 or £100, and lists each claim with its working. When you approve a claim, Stripe sends it as a separate, itemised invoice; your original invoices are never changed. You can skip a claim, exclude a client, use your own contract rate or a flat fee instead, and automatic sending stays off unless you switch it on twice. A free statutory interest calculator works on its site without an account.
Capabilities
Finds late invoices every morning
At 07:00 UK time Duebill reads your Stripe invoices sent for payment by e-mail, in pounds, with a due date, and lists every one that is overdue or was paid late, with the days late and the amount owed.
The statutory maths, shown
8% plus the Bank of England rate on 31 December or 30 June, fixed for the whole debt, simple daily interest on a 365-day year, and the fixed sum once per invoice. Each claim shows the rate, the period and the amounts, and the claim invoice cites the Act.
You approve, Stripe sends
An approved claim becomes a separate Stripe invoice that Stripe e-mails to your client. Skip a claim or exclude a client in one click. Automatic sending is off by default and needs a second confirmation.
Your original invoice is never touched
Duebill only creates new claim invoices. It never updates, voids or marks your existing invoices, and every Stripe call carries an idempotency key so a retry cannot create a second claim.
Careful with the unclear cases
Part-paid invoices, refunds after payment and invoices marked paid by hand go to manual review instead of the queue. Nothing is scanned until you confirm your clients are businesses.
A restricted key, encrypted
Only a Stripe restricted key with Invoices write and Customers read is accepted; a full secret key is refused. The key is encrypted at rest, masked in logs and deleted the moment you disconnect.
