What it does
Co-Owners is an extension for Zoho Desk teams. Zoho Desk gives every ticket exactly one owner; when a specialist, a colleague from sales or the next shift has to share responsibility, following the ticket is not enough. From a panel on the ticket, an agent adds up to five co-owners. Each co-owner is written to a Co-owners ticket field, so it shows on the ticket, in its History, in views, reports and exports; becomes a follower; gets a task linked to the ticket; and is @mentioned in a private note. Every agent sees a My co-owned list in the top band, and a Bulk tab adds or removes co-owners on up to 100 tickets with a preview, a typed confirmation and Undo.
Capabilities
Co-owners as a real ticket field
Co-owners are written to a single-line Co-owners ticket field as name and agent ID. Because it is a normal field, it appears on the ticket and in its History, and you can filter custom views, reports and exports on it, for example "Co-owners contains Jane Doe".
Follower, task and @mention
Each co-owner becomes a follower of the ticket, gets a task linked to the ticket with an optional due date (17:00 in the agent's time zone), and is @mentioned in a private note. Removing a co-owner removes the follower subscription and moves the task to the trash. When the ticket is closed, the panel offers to complete the open co-owner tasks. Admins can switch followers, tasks or mentions off.
My co-owned tickets
A Co-Owned Tickets tab in the top band lists every open ticket the agent co-owns, with overdue co-owner tasks first, the ticket owner and the other co-owners.
Bulk changes, rules and an audit log
Admins decide the maximum number of co-owners (1 to 5) and who may change them. The Bulk tab finds up to 100 tickets by number or by department and status, previews the change and applies it only after a typed confirmation such as ADD 12; each run can be undone. An audit log lists every change made with the extension, with CSV export.
Questions
Where does Co-Owners run?
The extension runs in your agents' browsers, as a panel on the ticket and a tab in the Zoho Desk top bar. Every call goes only to your own Zoho Desk organisation, through the extension's Zoho Desk connection, with the signed-in agent's own permissions. Atesen Software runs no server for it and receives none of your ticket data.
