Version Cleaner for Confluence privacy

This section describes how Version Cleaner for Confluence handles data. It supplements the site-wide privacy policy.

Where the application runs

Version Cleaner is an Atlassian Forge application. Its interface, functions, queue and storage run on infrastructure operated by Atlassian. Atesen Software operates no server or database for the application.

What it talks to

Only your Confluence site and Atlassian's Personal Data Reporting service. The application has no external egress permission, analytics, remote backend or externally hosted code.

What it stores

  • Preview records for the selected rule and scope, page identifiers and titles, counts, and the signed-in person's Atlassian account id.
  • Job records and an audit entry for each deleted version: page id and title, version number, author account id, creation date, version message, deletion time and job id.
  • The application does not store page body content, passwords, API tokens or payment information.

How long it is kept

An unconfirmed preview is removed after 24 hours. Job and audit records are removed after 90 days. When the application is uninstalled, Atlassian deletes its stored data for your site under the Forge platform's retention process.

Account privacy requests

Version Cleaner reports the Atlassian account ids retained in job and audit records through Atlassian's Personal Data Reporting API on a weekly schedule. If Atlassian reports an account as closed or updated, the application removes that account id from the stored job and audit records.

Data residency and support

Application data uses Atlassian-hosted Forge storage. If you contact Atesen Software support by email, the message and attachments you choose to send leave Atlassian and are handled under the site-wide privacy policy. Do not send page exports, credentials or API tokens.
