What it does

Ticket Archive for Freshservice is an application for Freshservice service desks. You choose tickets by date, status, priority, type, group, agent, department, requester, tag or workspace, and the preview shows how many match and how long the archive takes. The application then builds, in the agent's browser, one PDF per ticket with its fields, description and the replies and notes the API returns, an index, an Excel workbook, CSV files and a SHA-256 checksum for every file, split into ZIP parts that your browser downloads. It only reads from Freshservice and never changes a ticket.

Capabilities

Choose and preview

Filter by created or updated dates, status, priority, type, group, agent, department, requester email, tag and workspace. The preview shows how many tickets match, the first ones, and an estimate of the API calls and minutes the archive needs. A reminder shows whether last month has been archived and fills in its dates.

A readable archive

One PDF per ticket with its fields, description and the replies and notes in order, private notes highlighted. Each ZIP part also holds an index (PDF and CSV), an Excel workbook with Tickets, Messages and Attachments sheets, the same data as CSV files with your choice of comma or semicolon, attachment files up to 5.5 MB each, and a checksums file. A summary file lists the SHA-256 of every ZIP part.

Private notes and access under your control

An administrator lists the agents who may create archives and decides whether archives may include private notes. When they may, the agent confirms for each archive that they are allowed to export them.

Gentle on your API limit, and resumable

The application uses at most the share of your Freshservice API limit you set (30% by default, never more than 40 requests a minute) and waits when your account's remaining limit is low or Freshservice asks it to slow down. A job can be paused, and an interrupted job continues where it stopped after the page is opened again.

Questions

Where does Ticket Archive for Freshservice run?

The application runs inside Freshservice on the Freshworks Developer Platform, in the browser of the agent who uses it. It has no server code of its own. Requests go from the browser through the Freshworks request proxy to your Freshservice API over HTTPS. Atesen Software does not operate a server or a database for it and never receives your data.

What we do not claim

  • It is under review by Freshworks Marketplace, not approved, listed or publicly installable. Public installation, customer and review counts are not verified.
  • It has not yet been tested against a live Freshservice account; it has been tested against a simulated Freshservice API with made-up tickets.
  • It is not a backup or a compliance certification. It archives what the API key may read; skipped tickets and attachment files that are larger than 5.5 MB, hosted elsewhere or could not be read are listed with the reason, not included.
  • Files are created in the browser and offered for download. Your browser may ask before saving several files; check that every part and the summary were saved.
  • PDFs show Latin, Greek and Cyrillic text. Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic and Hebrew text is not rendered in PDFs yet; it is kept in the Excel and CSV files.
  • It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Freshworks.
  • It holds no security certification and has not undergone a third-party audit.
