What it does
Department Settings Copier is an extension for Zoho Desk administrators. Choose a source department and one or more target departments, tick the ticket layouts, email templates, ticket templates and SLAs to copy, and read the preview: every row says Create or Skip, with the reason. Nothing is created until you type COPY and the number of items. Items are copied one at a time, every copy is read back and checked, and an interrupted run can be resumed. It only adds copies; it never edits or deletes anything.
Capabilities
Four item types
Ticket layouts, through Zoho Desk's own layout clone (the copy is never the default layout). Email templates, with the folder matched by name and the sender address kept. Ticket templates (beta), whose layout is matched by name or follows a layout copied in the same run. SLAs (beta), always created inactive.
A preview before anything is created
Choose what happens when a name already exists in a target department: skip the item, or add " (copy)" to its name. The preview lists every item and target as Create or Skip with the reason, such as an email template with attachments, or a folder or business hours with no match in the target, and shows the contact, account and product references that will be cleared from a ticket template.
Checked, one at a time
Copying starts only after you type COPY and the number of items, for example COPY 12. Items are created one at a time, at most 40 API calls a minute. Every copy is read back (name and department) and the run stops on any difference. An interrupted run can be resumed later.
Only adds, never changes
The extension can read and create, nothing more. It is not granted update or delete permission, so it never edits or deletes an existing item. A CSV log lists every item, target, new ID and result. Administrators can switch off any item type, or switch copying off completely so that only previews work.

Where does Department Settings Copier run?
The extension runs in your browser, inside Zoho Desk. Every call goes only to your own Zoho Desk organisation, through the extension's Zoho Desk connection that you authorise. Atesen Software runs no server for it and receives none of your data.
What does Department Settings Copier connect to?
Only your Zoho Desk organisation, through the extension's Zoho Desk connection. It uses no analytics, cookies, trackers or third-party services. The only outside script it loads is Zoho's own extension SDK, served by Zoho.

Support for Department Settings Copier is provided by email in English and Turkish.

What we do not claim
- It is under review by Zoho Marketplace, not approved, listed or publicly installable. Public installation, customer and review counts are not verified.
- It does not copy workflow rules, macros or assignment rules: Zoho Desk offers no API for them. It does not create fields, move or delete items, or undo a copy.
- Ticket templates and SLAs are marked beta. A copied SLA is created inactive and has to be reviewed and activated in Zoho Desk.
- The China data centre is not supported.
