What it does
Reporting Tag Re-tagger is an extension for Zoho Books users and accountants. When a region is renamed, a project is merged or a cost centre moves, it finds the transactions that carry a reporting tag option or location today and previews every header and line change. After you type RETAG and the number of transactions, it changes only that tag option or location: each transaction is read fresh, written and read back to check that totals, tax and lines did not change. A CSV log records every change and can undo the job. This version works on expenses and manual journals.

Find
Choose the transaction type, the date range, an account, a customer or vendor, and the tag option or location the transactions carry today. This version changes expenses and manual journals; changes to invoices are switched off until they have been verified on live data.
Preview every change
Every header and line change is listed before anything is written, for example Region: North → South. Transactions in a locked period, void transactions and others that cannot be edited are skipped, with the reason.
Only the tag changes, and it is checked
After you type RETAG and the number of transactions, each one is read fresh and only its reporting tag option or location is changed; everything else is sent back unchanged and every line keeps its line ID. The transaction is then read back: total, tax, line count and line IDs must match, and a journal's debits must still equal its credits, or the job stops.
Log, undo and daily limits
A CSV log lists transaction, line, old value, new value and result. Load it later and type UNDO and the number of transactions to put the old values back. The extension shows your daily API budget, uses about three calls per transaction and pauses a large job to resume it the next day.

Where does Reporting Tag Re-tagger run?
The extension runs in your browser, as a web tab inside Zoho Books. Every call goes only to your own Zoho Books organisation, through the extension's Zoho Books connection that you authorise. Atesen Software runs no server for it and receives none of your data.
What does Reporting Tag Re-tagger connect to?
Only your Zoho Books organisation, through the extension's Zoho Books connection. It uses no analytics, cookies, trackers or third-party services. The only outside script it loads is Zoho's own extension SDK, served by Zoho.

What we do not claim
- It is being submitted to Zoho Marketplace and is not approved or listed. It has no installations, customers or reviews.
- It changes reporting tag options and locations only. It does not create tags or options, and it does not change amounts, accounts, taxes, dates or anything else.
- Invoice changes are switched off until they have been verified on live data. Bills and credit notes are not supported in this version.
- A change that set an option on a tag that was empty cannot be undone from the log in this version; set it back by hand in Zoho Books.
- The China data centre is not supported.
