What it does

UX Copy Assistant (BYOK) is a plugin for Figma. Select a text layer, choose OpenAI, Anthropic or Google Gemini, and use your own API key to get three variants of a button label, error message or empty-state text, a different tone, a shorter version or a localized one. You review the variants before anything is applied, and one click undoes the last apply. Requests go directly from the plugin to the provider you chose, never through Atesen Software, and your key stays in Figma's storage on your computer.

Capabilities

Your key, your provider

Choose OpenAI, Anthropic or Google Gemini and enter a model ID your API account can use. Selected text and the context you type go straight to that provider; the plugin has no developer server, analytics or telemetry.

Six copy tasks

Button variants, error messages, empty states, a change of tone, a shorter version or a localized version, with a tone, an output language and a character limit.

Review before applying

Three variants per layer. Placeholders such as {name} and URLs must come back unchanged or the suggestion is rejected. Undo last apply restores the previous characters.

Free and Pro

Free covers every task on one text layer at a time. Pro adds batches of up to 50 text layers with batch apply and undo.

Costs stay with your provider

Your provider bills API usage to your account. A ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini subscription does not necessarily include API credits, and Pro does not include any.

Plans

Planned pricing for the Figma Community release. Prices are in US dollars and exclude VAT and sales tax. Pro will be sold on ux-copy.atesensoftware.com, where Paddle.com, our reseller and merchant of record, adds the tax that applies and shows the total. Checkout opens there the day the plugin is on Figma Community; until then that page says so. 14-day refunds. Pro does not include AI credits or provider charges.

When you ask for suggestions, the selected text and the context you typed go directly from the plugin to the AI provider you chose (OpenAI, Anthropic or Google Gemini), authenticated with your own API key, which is stored in Figma's storage on your computer. Provider terms and charges apply. Nothing goes to Atesen Software.
