UX Copy Assistant (BYOK) documentation
Documentation for UX Copy Assistant (BYOK), the Figma plugin. It describes version 0.2. The plugin cannot be installed from Figma Community today; these instructions describe the planned release.
Requirements
- An API key from OpenAI, Anthropic or Google Gemini and the ID of a text model your account can use. Provider charges apply to your account.
- One or more text layers selected in Figma (up to 50 layers and 20,000 characters, batches with Pro).
Suggest and apply copy
- Open Your provider and API key in the plugin, choose the provider, enter the model ID and paste your key. It is stored in Figma's storage on your computer.
- Choose what you are writing, the tone, the output language and the character limit. Add short product context if it helps.
- Press Suggest 3 variants, pick one per layer and press Apply chosen variants. Undo last apply restores the previous characters; use Figma's Undo for formatting.
Free plan and Pro
The free plan handles one text layer at a time with every task. Pro adds batches of up to 50 layers, batch apply and undo. Pro does not include AI credits.
After the plugin is listed and Pro checkout opens: to unlock Pro, open Pro license in the plugin, press Buy Pro (it opens the sales page in your browser), pay with Paddle, copy the key from the page or your e-mail (it starts with UX1.), paste it in the plugin and press Unlock Pro. The key is checked inside the plugin, works offline and is stored on your computer.
