What it does
Series Attendance Roster is a web application for teachers, trainers and HR or compliance staff who run a recurring Teams meeting and need attendance across the whole series, not one session at a time. Teams makes a separate attendance report for every session, has no series or monthly total, and its list returns at most the 50 newest reports. The organizer signs in with their own work or school Microsoft account (delegated permissions, no administrator PowerShell) and picks a recurring meeting they organize. The app archives every session's report automatically, matches people across sessions, applies a completion rule such as minutes per session or a share of sessions, and builds a roster with a person by session matrix, monthly totals and the sessions that had no report. It exports Excel and CSV files and can e-mail a link to the monthly file.
Capabilities
The whole series in one roster
Every session of a recurring Teams meeting in one table: a person by session matrix with minutes, monthly totals, and a list of sessions that had no attendance report. A meeting that was restarted counts as one session.
Past the 50-report limit
Teams lists at most the 50 newest attendance reports of a meeting. The app archives each report after the session, so a daily series keeps its full history after ten weeks.
Completion rules
Set the minutes a person must attend per session, or the share of sessions they must attend, and the roster marks who completed. Where Teams hides a duration, the roster says it cannot be determined instead of writing zero.
Excel, CSV and a monthly e-mail
An Excel file with summary, matrix, monthly, sessions and notes sheets, and CSV files with comma or semicolon separators. Once a month the organizer can receive an e-mail with a signed link to the file; the e-mail itself holds no attendee data.
Your own Microsoft account
The organizer signs in with a work or school Microsoft 365 account and grants delegated permissions only, so the app reads what that organizer can already see. No administrator PowerShell or application-wide permission is needed; where user consent is off, an administrator can approve the app.
Careful with personal data
Attendee names and e-mail addresses are stored encrypted, logs hold ids and counts only, spreadsheet formulas are neutralised in exports, and deleting a series or all data takes a typed confirmation.
