KB Manager privacy
This notice describes KB Manager data handling and supplements the site-wide privacy policy.
Where the extension runs
The extension runs in the browser inside Zoho Desk and uses your authorized Desk connection for article operations.
What it reads and changes
It processes article IDs, titles, content, URLs, modification dates and related metadata for loading, link inspection, replacement previews, authorized edits, recovery and CSV export. Article text and URLs can contain personal or confidential data.
External link checks
External network checking is opt-in. Link checks use browser HEAD requests with credentials omitted, redirects rejected and no referrer. The destination receives the requested URL, network IP address and standard HTTP headers. URLs themselves may disclose sensitive paths or query values. Browser or access restrictions can leave a result unknown.
Local recovery data and exports
The organization-specific recovery journal in browser localStorage can retain article identifiers and original and replacement content beyond tab close or reload. It has no automatic time-based expiry; remove it using the journal deletion control or clear the relevant browser site data when recovery is no longer needed. Uninstalling does not guarantee browser storage deletion. Downloaded CSVs remain on your device until you delete them.
Support
Redact article content, personal data and secrets before emailing support. Request access to or deletion of information you voluntarily supplied by contacting support@atesensoftware.com. Source article rights and retention remain with your Desk organization.
