What it does
Groupfold is for bookkeepers and finance leads whose group has more than one Xero organisation. Export the Profit and Loss as Excel from each organisation for the same period, add 2 to 10 files, and Groupfold builds one Profit and Loss with a column per company, an Eliminations column and a Group column. Accounts with different names are matched by hand on screen. The files are read in your browser and are not uploaded.
Capabilities
One export per company
Add the Profit and Loss Excel export of each Xero organisation, 2 to 10 files for the same period. Groupfold tells you why when a file is empty, is the wrong report or covers a different period.
Rates and eliminations you type
You enter the currency and exchange rate of each company, and the source of the rate goes on the Notes sheet. No rate is looked up. Eliminations are amounts you type on each line; Groupfold does not match inter-company balances.
Names matched by hand
Accounts with different names stay separate until you map them on screen. The mapping downloads as a small JSON file you can load next time.
Net Profit checked against each file
Each company's Net Profit is rebuilt from its lines and compared with the file. If one does not match, it turns red and the Excel download stays closed.
Excel with live formulas
The download has four sheets: Consolidated, Sources, Mapping and Notes. Totals are real Excel formulas you can audit.

- It does not look up exchange rates or match inter-company balances, and it gives no IFRS, compliance or accounting advice.
- It is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by Xero. It was tested with files in the Xero Global layout; if a file is not recognised, the tool tells you why.
