LeadCascade vs Insycle vs HubSpot's own import, for Leads
You have a spreadsheet of leads and want them in HubSpot as Leads, linked to the right company and contact. Three routes: HubSpot's built-in import, Insycle (a data-cleanup tool), and LeadCascade (one job: import Leads). They are not the same kind of tool; the table says where each is strong. Facts about HubSpot and Insycle were checked on 6 November 2026.
Side by side
| HubSpot import | Insycle | LeadCascade | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Importing Leads | HubSpot's import guides list contacts, companies, deals, tickets, custom objects and activities. Leads are created from the Contacts or Leads index, the Sales Workspace or a workflow action, and each lead must be tied to a contact or company (HubSpot). The Leads object needs Sales Hub Professional or Enterprise | Leads are a supported object in its import tool (Insycle); its documents show no lead-to-company or lead-to-contact example | Yes, its one job: from one CSV or Excel file it finds or creates the company by domain and the contact by email, links them and creates the lead linked to both. The account needs the Leads object |
| Matching and duplicates | Contacts match on email, companies on domain, or on a custom unique property; a Record ID overrides both (HubSpot) | Several ordered matching rules on email, domain, phone or ID; unmatched rows are new | Company by domain, contact by email |
| Preview | Not covered in the pages we read | A read-only Compare of the file against HubSpot data, separate from the import | A free preview of what would be created and skipped; you type IMPORT and the number of leads to confirm |
| Undo | No whole-import undo; you can delete the records an import created, but deleting does not reverse updates to existing records (HubSpot) | No undo described; import reports keep before and after values | A 30-day undo that deletes the leads the run created; contacts and companies it created stay and are marked in the result CSV |
| Size limits | Large: up to 512 MB and 1,048,576 rows per file on paid tiers (HubSpot) | Not verified | 2,500 rows and 4 MB per run |
| Beyond import | Import is one part of HubSpot | Duplicate finding and merging, cleanup, bulk update and bulk association; unlimited users on every plan | Creates new leads only: no updates, no deals or tickets, no cleanup |
| Price | Included in HubSpot | From $100 a month billed annually (Starter); 14-day free trial up to 500 updated records, no card; no free plan (Insycle) | The preview and first 10 leads are free, no card; $29 for a 7-day pass of up to 3,000 leads, or $49 a month with unlimited leads |
Which one fits
- Your files are contacts, companies or deals, or very large: HubSpot's own import is built for that and costs nothing extra.
- You clean and merge CRM data all year: Insycle covers dedupe, bulk edits and updates as well as imports, and flexible matching is its strength. If you only ever need a one-off lead import it is a larger tool than the job.
- You have a migration, an event list or a distributor report to load as Leads, each tied to a company and contact, with a preview and a way back: LeadCascade does only that, and a 7-day pass keeps the cost to the project.
LeadCascade is independent, not listed in HubSpot's app marketplace and not affiliated with, endorsed or certified by HubSpot.
