Xero bulk tools: one app per job, or one broad import tool?
Xero does many jobs one record at a time. You can buy a broad import tool that covers many transaction types, or a small app for each job. Neither is always right. This page lays out what each choice gives you and what it costs, using SaasAnt Transactions as the example of a broad tool and our own six Xero apps as the single-job route. Which choice fits
- You build or import many kinds of transactions from files every month: one broad tool covers more types under one subscription, and that can be simpler to run.
- You have one recurring clean-up job (approved invoices that must change, prices on repeating invoices, a pile of unpaid bills by department): a small app with a preview built around that job means paying only for it, and you can stop when the job is done. Several of our apps sell a short pass instead of a subscription for that reason.
- You need several of them: the prices add up per app. Compare the total for the months you will actually use them with the broad tool's plan before you decide.
