About the game

SMASHCUE turns your keyboard and mouse into an instrument. A voice calls the next move: a key, a click, a scroll, a chord or a hold. Then an amber frame closes onto a dashed target, and you hit the move on the beat.

Every clean hit builds your combo, and the combo builds the track: bass, arpeggios, open hi-hats and double kicks join in as you go. Miss once and the tape stops.

  • Classic: new moves every level, and a life back for every 25 hits in a row
  • 4-Combo Rush: memorize four combos, then play them again and again, faster and faster
  • Daily: the same run for every player, every day
  • Duel: two players on one keyboard, in split screen
  • Start from any level you have reached, and leave keys out if your keyboard is cramped
  • Sync check: tap along once to correct the audio delay of Bluetooth headphones or speakers

Controls

  • The keys Q, W, E, R, A, S, D and F, when they are called on screen.
  • Space and Shift, when they are called on screen. Shift is used in chords.
  • The left, right and middle mouse buttons and the scroll wheel, when they are called on screen.
  • Esc pauses the game, and M mutes it.

Devices

Desktop only. SMASHCUE needs a keyboard and a mouse, including the mouse buttons and the scroll wheel; it is not made for phones or tablets.
